Landscape architecture aims to create spaces to be lived in, as buildings are, if not in the same way.  As landscape architects and builders, Gardens designs, installs, and maintains one-of-a-kind outdoor living rooms.  Our team consists of highly skilled architects, stonemasons, craftsmen and gardeners whose work has garnered frequent press and awards.  We are a “design build” firm, usually taking projects from conception to completion, but we are available on a “design only” basis for clients who are too far away for our implementation services.  We have offices in both Austin and Dallas, but have many projects throughout the state and some across the nation. 

Gardens’ landscapes are manageable without being predictable, incorporating hardscapes and soft surfaces, terraces and arbors, vegetable and flower gardens, the wild and the formal, openness and containment, shade and unobstructed sky and water’s animation and sound.  Personal environments shouldn’t be “in here” and “out there.”  Instead they should be natural extensions of one another, with logical points of connection, reference, and continuity.  When outdoor environments achieve this, they amplify living.
